The Digicel Fiji 7s will have to lift their performance to stand a chance of reaching the final of the Scotland 7s tomorrow morning.

The Iliesa Tanivula coached side did not play well in all of their 3 pool games while beating 7s minnows Spain 40-0 and Portugal 41-7.

In their last pool game they just managed to edge Australia 26-19 to set up another quarterfinal showdown with New Zealand.

The Kiwis despite their 14-12 loss to South Africa in their last pool game will still be a tough game for the Fiji side which lacked aggresiveness and speed in their 3 pool games.

Coach Iliesa Tanivula has been using an experienced line up of Pio Tuwai, Jerry Burotu, Waqa Kotobalavu, Emosi Vucago, Vereniki Goneva and Orisi Sareki in his pool games but they have failed to impress.

In other quarterfinals at 10.33pm South Africa who are the new 2008 and 2009 IRB 7s series champion will take on Australia.

At 10.55pm Samoa will face host Scotland before Kenya plays Wales at 11.17pm. Then the last quarterfinal at 11.33pm Fiji will take on Scotland.
