The Digicel Fiji Sevens team will meet South Africa in the semifinals of the World Games Sevens rugby competition in the next 15 minutes.

Fiji qualified for the semifinals after beating Chinese Taipei 28 points to 5 in the quarterfinals this afternoon.

Pio Tuwai, Apisai Naiyabo, Nasoni Roko and Orisi Sareki all crossed the try line for Fiji.

In the pool games, the Iliesa Tanivula coached side won two games against Hong Kong 26-10 and Japan 19-10 but lost their final pool match against Argentina 17-7.

Meanwhile, in the first quarterfinal South Africa beat Hong Kong by 39 points to nil.

Fiji is the defending champion.

Their semifinal clash will start at 5:15pm in Taiwan.
