“We want to start on a high note in the IRB Sevens Series and the Sri Lanka Sevens this weekend will give us a chance to know where we stand amongst the other top teams in the competition”.

Those were the words of Digicel Fiji Sevens Team manager Sale Sorovaki as the side left for Nadi this morning bound for Sri Lanka this weekend.

Sorovaki said past results do not favour the Fiji team in the first leg of the IRB Sevens Series, where the side has failed to win in the opening tournament in Dubai.

He added after a month of preparation, this team leaves our shores confident that they can do well starting with the buildup tournament in Sri Lanka this weekend.
