Former National 7's Captain Semisi Naevo has high hopes that the Josateki Savou coached team will defend the San Diego 7's title.
Speaking to Village Sports, Manager Opetaia Ravai said the side received a phone call from Naevo this morning wishing the boys well in the two day tournament.
Ravai believes the players are ready to give their best shot in retaining their title.
The Digicel Fiji 7's team is ready to put behind last weeks disappointment loss in Wellington when they will face Australia in their opening pool game in San Diego.
Speaking to Village Sports, Manager Opetaia Ravai said the challenge now is for the players to stay focused in defending the title.
Ravai adds the side has wrapped up their preparations today and was also hosted in a lunch by the Fiji Ambassador.
Ravai said the side is ready to put last week's disappointment behind them.
Fiji's first game at 8.12am tomorrow against Australia.
Then Fiji takes on West Indies at 11.18am, and their last game is at 2.46 in the afternoon against Samoa.
