With four days to go until the IOC votes to decide whether Rugby Sevens will be included in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, the pools and match schedule have been announced for the first event of the 2009/10 IRB Sevens World Series in Dubai.

The Digicel Fiji 7s team is seeded second in Pool B and face the team that beat them to take Gold at the recent Pacific Mini Games, Samoa, as well as Namibia 7s finalists Zimbabwe and Scotland.

World Series champions South Africa will start as the top seed by defending the first tournament they won last year. The Springboks face men's Sevens World Champions Wales, Australia and the hosts Arabian Gulf in Pool A.

England, who finished third in last year's overall standings, top Pool C and face tough games against sixth-ranked Kenya, USA and Russia while eight-time World Series winners New Zealand start as fourth seed and face three competitive matches in Pool D against Argentina and the dual European challenge of France and Portugal.

The Dubai 7s tournament will be played from 4th to 5th December.
