The Digicel Fiji 7s team will carry the underdogs tag for the George 7s this weekend.

After losing in the semifinals of the Dubai 7s, the Iliesa Tanivula coached side is not the favourite in South Africa.

New Zealand after winning the Dubai 7s title, obviously remain favourites although they are in the Pool of death with losing finalists Samoa, world champions Wales and USA.

The Gordon Tietjens coached side and hosts South Africa are now the front runners for the George title, although the Paul Treu team lost in the plate finals to Australia.

Treu knows his side will have to win at home this weekend to keep their IRB 7s series defence campaign on track.

Rugby pundits after watching the Dubai 7s tournament believe that South Africa and Kenya from Pool A, Fiji and Australia from Pool B, New Zealand and Samoa from Pool C and England and Argentina from Pool D will advance to the Cup quarterfinals.

Fiji's opening pool match will be against Portugal on early Saturday morning at 12:10.
