Digicel Fiji 7s coach Iliesa Tanivula said they can defend the Scotland 7s title this weekend despite losing out in the Cup quarterfinals in England last weekend.

Tanivula said mistakes were expected from the new players and that should be ironed out in the next few days before they take part in the last tournament of the IRB World 7s Series.

He said the players need more game time and once they a build a good understanding amongst themselves, that they will start rolling.

Meanwhile Scotland 7s coach Stephen Gemmell said his side has always been drawn in tough pools at the IRB World 7s Series, and are even in more tough pool for the last tournament in series with reigning champions Fiji and World 7s champions Wales.
