7s rugby league to face Tonga in semis
The results leave the side with a win, a loss and a draw in their 3 pool games.
Fiji defeated host Cook Island 26-18 in their opening game, lost to Tonga 24-18 and drew with Samoa 20 all to finish on the 3rd spot in the points table.
Manager Mesake Navugona says they have learnt from their mistakes in the pool game and the players know they have to deliver the results tomorrow.
They will now play Tonga in the semifinal at 12pm tomorrow.
The Fiji mixed touch rugby team has just lost to Samoa 3-4 in their second last pool game.
This is the second defeat after an early loss of 12-9 to Cook Islands, and a win by 9-6 to PNG.
The last pool game against Niue is still underway.
In other results in bowling the Fiji Mens Four a side beat Cook Island 15-6 and 16-2 but the Womens side lost to Niue 11-7 and 9-4.
In the mixed touch rugby, after an early loss of 12-9 to Cook Island, they then went on to beat PNG 9-6 in their second pool game.
They will have to take on Niue and Samoa this afternoon.
