The FRU Fiji TV 7s rugby competition kicked off at Churchill Park this morning with players trying to catch the eyes of the National selectors.

Namosi which has the likes of Dale Tonawai and Waisale Beci beat Nadroga Blues 14-7 in its first match and look good to make it through the play-offs.

Digicel Barbarians is another team to watch as they beat Nadroga Yellow 19-14 in their first match.

Suva lost its first match against Nadroga Blacks 19-14 but Suva came back and won the second match against Lautoka 39-0.

Suva will qualify for the cup quarter-finals if they win their last pool match.

The quarter-finals of the FRU Fiji TV 7's tournament will start in the next hour.
