The Digicel Fiji 7's coaching staff are not changing its stance on former national 7's coach Waisale Serevi which requires him to be at Churchill park on Saturday to get a chance of been named in the 25 member training squad for Hong Kong.

However, the 7's maestro wants to meet up with his former 7's team mates Jope Tuikabe, Manasa Bari and Joe Savou to request that he be allowed into the team as he will be travelling to the Darwin 7's with the Drifters.

It is understood that the trio maintain that they are working with the cricteria given by the FRU and Serevi has to play in Lautoka to be recognised by them.

Coach Joe Savou who made his debut in the Fiji 7's colours in 1994 the same year that Serevi was the captain of the side for the first time said that while they will be no other 7's player like Serevi, one has to understand that it is time to groom players who still have a lot of years left to give to the sport.

The national 7's kicks-off on Saturday at 8am and the 12 member team to Wellington and San Diego will be name after the final.
