7s coaching staff stands by rotation decision
Digicel Fiji 7s assistant coach Timoci Waniqolo believes they will have to set the standard now for the development of the game.
Wainiqolo said they had to start searching again after losing some of the star players from last season to overseas clubs like Joeli Lutumailagi, Nikola Matawalu, Jimilai Naikadawa, Semi Radradra and brothers Avenisi Vasuinubu and Waisea Nayacalevu.
Fijivillage asked Wainiqolo if their decision to change the players will backfire as we want consistency, an area that Fiji has been lacking over the years, but Wainiqolo said they have a program in place.
47-year-old Wainiqolo added fans have to be patient because their quest for gold at the 2016 Olympics is starting now and the World Cup is next year.
There will be a fitness test next Wednesday for the 36 players in the training squad while the selected team for the Dubai 7s will march into camp on the 30th of this month.
