Fiji will now face Samoa again in the quarterfinals in a repeat of last week's Dubai Sevens where they won 12-7.
Defending Champions New Zealand is the team to beat with a 19-7 win against England and a thumping 40-5 victory over France while Tunisia could not match them as they bowed out 36-0.
Also hosts South Africa are serious to end their losing streak at home after coming out as Pool winner from group B.
In the opening quarterfinal tonight at 9.59 New Zealand will take on USA.
USA beat Australia 28-26 to be in the top 8 and Captain Chris Wyles said they are looking for an impressive performance as they know the Kiwis are one of the favourites.
However, the upset of the tournament was in Pool D where Portugal beat Wales 19-17 then they edged Kenya 14-12 before an outstanding performance to win against favourites Samoa 19-17.
Portugal is the pool winner from group D and will take on Argentina in the second quarterfinal at 10.21 tonight.
New Zealand will take on USA in the first quarterfinal at 9.59pm.
In the second quarterfinal at 10.21pm Portugal will face Argentina before Fiji will play Samoa in the 3rd quarterfinal at 10.43pm.
Host South Africa will feature in the last quarterfinal in the repeat of last week’s final against England at 11.05pm.
Looking at the results of this morning pool game, New Zealand beat England 19-7, Samoa edge Kenya 17-12, Portugal 19 - Wales 12, USA 28 - Australia 26.
