The Digicel Fiji Development 7s team is seeded third in the Safari 7s tournament which kicks off tonight in Kenya.

They are in the same Pool C with returnees Japan, Bristol University and Debutants University of Grenoble from Paris.

Fiji will play their opening Pool match tonight around 7pm against Bristol University, the veterans of the 13-year old tournament.

Fiji 7s coach Osea Umuu said they are raring to go in their debut of the tournament. There is only one experienced player in the side of Timoci Matanavou while rest of the area from development players from a larger squad.

The other top teams in the tournament are Emerging Boks, Kenya, France and Uganda.
