The Digicel Fiji 7s team has failed to win the Edinburgh 7s tournament, which means that Fiji has not won any tournament in the 2007/2008 IRB World 7s Series.
Fiji looked good in the Pool play of the Edinburgh 7s tournament but failed to get the momentum going, as they lost to Samoa in the Cup quarterfinals by 10 points to 17 last night.
The Joe Savou coached side even lost the Plate semifinal to host Scotland by 14-19.
Meanwhile, New Zealand has ended the season on a high note by winning seven of the eight IRB World Series tournaments.
They won the Edinburgh 7s tournament this morning beating England 24-14 in the final.
Australia won the Bowl final over Canada by 24-14 and South Africa won the Plate final beating Scotland 14-5.
