With an estimated 70 million people expected to visit the Shanghai World Expo, Pacific Island countries should take full advantage of the opportunity to showcase what the Pacific is all about.
Acting CEO of South Pacific Tourism Organisation Andrew Nihopara said the 15 Pacific island nations have been provided an opportunity by the Chinese Government who have funded the Pacific Pavilion, to develop a partnership with other countries, and this is something the countries should take full advantage of.
Meanwhile, Award winning composer Igelese Ete officially signed a contract as the Entertainment Manager for the Pacific Pavilion at the Shanghai World Expo.
Ete who will manage the 15 member country entertainment programme said he wants to showcase the true Pacific culture for its uniqueness.
Fiji will also be represented at the Shanghai World Expo which opens on the 1st of May.
