The ANZ's rural banking scheme has more than 70,000 customers.
This has been revealed by the General Manager ANZ Robert Bell who said these 70,000 customers never had a bank account before, however through the rural banking scheme villagers have started to save for their future.
Rural banking was launched in Fiji in October 2004 as part of the United Nations Development Programme's push for financial literacy across Pacific region.
Each month the Rural Banking team visits over 200 communities and over 100 schools around Fiji.
