$70000 Raised In Appeal
The Get the Children Back To School Appeal, with its last day today, intends to ensure these children have what it takes to get back to school. So far the appeal has collected more than $70,000.
Organized by Communications Fiji Limited's radio stations, Legend FM, its sister stations and our website fijivillage.com, the flood appeal will continue today to 6pm and organizers are predicting a larger amount to be collected.
Appeal Coordinator and Navtarang Programmes Director Satya Nand said this has only been achieved through people's generous support adding that our teams will be present at various locations today for you to give what you can.
Our teams will be at Mid City Complex Digicel Office Cumming St Suva from 10 this morning, Post Fiji Post Shop in Suva from 10am, RB Centre Point 10am, Nausori Opposite the Bus stand next to Rups from 10am and from our office 231 Waimanu Rd Suva from 10am, Nadi at Macdonalds from 10-2pm, in Lautoka at Jolly Good from 8am-2pm, at the Ba Total Service Station from 9am - 1pm and up North in Labasa Hotel Takia Arcade from 8am.
The money raised will be given to Save The Children Fiji to help children get back to school when the new school year starts next week. The money will be used to provide bus fares, lunches as well as other school items.
