7 teams will take part in this year’s Vodafone Rugby Trophy B-Division competition from this Saturday.

They are Cakaudrove, Rewa, Ba, Serua, Naitasiri North Bulls, Nanukuloa and Navosa while the Nadroga under 23 side is the eighth team in the competition.

Vodafone as the official sponsor donated rugby balls and playing kits for the 4 week competition.

Speaking at the launch, Fiji Rugby Union Chief Executive Officer John O’Connor says the Vodafone Trophy has always been part of FRU’s competition and they are proud of this year’s participation despite Tropical Cyclone Winston.

O’Connor says the teams will set new platform to prepare them for all the competitions.

Cakaudrove team Marketing Manager Angie Rakai Bower says having this sort of sponsorship from Vodafone make them pick up from where they left off.

Navosa will play Ba while Nanukuloa will battle it out with Nadroga Under 23 at Prince Charles Park while Rewa will take on Serua and Naitasiri North Bulls will take on Cakaudrove at Ratu Cakobau Park this Saturday.
