The Fiji Trade and Investment Bureau continues to receive applications from interested parties to explore sites around the country for oil and other natural gases.
FTIB Chairman Francis Narayan confirmed that based on information from the Mineral Resources department there are several sites which have the potential for oil and other natural gas reserves.
The Interim Minister for Lands and Mineral Resources Netani Sukanaivalu is expected to comment later today on the number of applications being received for exploration.
