Seven months of fund-raising has paid off for the Rotuman athletes as they will take part in their first ever FMF Chow games next week.

Team Manager Viliame Rafaele said they raised $11,000 in seven months through a run-a-thon around the Island and other fundraises.

Rafaele added thaT some athletes are here for the first time but their major objective is to expose them.

Samuela Mosese and Regina Camilo are the top bets for a medal in the 100 metres boys and girls division for Rotuma.

24 athletes from four primary schools will represent Rotuma.

Rotuma will be part of the Central/Eastern Division FMF Chow Games which will be held at the ANZ Stadium next Friday and Saturday.
