Police are investigating the death of a seven year old boy whose body was found in Lautoka's Navula River yesterday afternoon.

According to Assistant Police PRO Corporal Suliano Tevita the boy went to bath in the river with his father. While bathing the father decided to join others cleaning the debris from the Irish Crossing. He left the child alone on the other side of the river.

The boy later went missing and a search was conducted. His body was found yesterday afternoon about 3 miles away from where he was last seen.

Meanwhile, investigation also continues in circumstances surrounding the death of a three year old boy in Korociri, Nausori yesterday.

The child was playing at his home and was later found lying on the front porch of the house. He was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

A post mortem is expected to conducted today to determine the cause of death.
