Seven Police officers appeared in the Lautoka Court this morning charged with alleged theft.

The seven allegedly took items from a supermarket in Ba during the height of the flood in the Western Division.

The incident has renewed the Commissioner of Police’s stance and policy on zero tolerance in regards to ill-disciplined and unscrupulous officers.

Brigadier General Ioane Naivalurua said the Fiji Police Force has no place for ill-disciplined and unscrupulous officers.

Naivalurua said all efforts will continue towards weeding out ill-disciplined and corrupt officers to ensure those serving will only have the best interests of the community and continue to serve them honestly.
