A 69-year-old man lost his life on our roads yesterday afternoon after he was hit by a ten-wheeler truck in Labasa.
Police Spokesperson, Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri confirmed the incident happened at Tuatua Labasa around 4pm yesterday.
Sokomuri said the farmer was trying to cross the road when he was hit by the ten wheeler truck driven by a 30-year-old man.
The man is now being questioned by Labasa Police.
The road death toll now stands at 27 compared to 32 for the same period last year.
