Police are looking for a man who is alleged to have raped a 68 year old woman in Labasa yesterday.
Labasa Police have confirmed that the alleged incident took place in a settlement outside Labasa when the elderly woman was asleep.
The man entered the house and raped her. The victim raised the alarm and the suspect managed to flee the scene.
The perpetrator is believed to be a young man living in the same settlement.
The elderly woman has been medically examined and police are working around the clock to arrest the suspect.
