The Police Drug Unit uprooted a total of 67,333 Marijuana plants last year.

The Unit also confiscated $71,799 cash which was earned through marijuana sales.

Officer-In-Charge Drugs ASP Rajeshni Mala said the money was either hidden in the bush or were stacked under the beds of drug paddlers.

The plants uprooted were from all centres, with Navosa being the area where more than 60,000 marijuana plants were uprooted alone.

She said a team is still up in the highlands conducting raids.
