Diarrhea cases in the Western Division continue to rise with 66 new cases reported in the past four days.

The Health Ministry said as of last Thursday cases reported for the Western Division was 142 and latest figures stand at 208. They are now stressing the importance on each member of the public to take health advice and warnings seriously to avoid getting sick.

Health PRO Iliesa Tora said 70 to 80% of these cases have been reported from rural areas where people do not have proper water supply. He said the Ministry is reiterating their call for members of the public once again, in areas that have water problems and those who enjoy good water supply that boiling drinking water is a good step to take in order to prevent getting diarrhea.

No changes have been recorded for the North and Central Division remaining at 159 and 98 cases respectively.
