65yr old in custody
Regional Police Commander Southern, SSP Ravi Narayan said the man was charged this afternoon after they received the post mortem report.
He is in police custody at the Navua Police Station and will appear in court on Monday.
The man allegedly stabbed a 47-year-old man with a cane knife after an argument at about 3pm yesterday.
Meanwhile, Police are also looking for a truck driver who was involved in a fatal hit and run accident in Navua at about 5am this morning.
A 42 year old construction worker died instantly after he was hit by the container truck which was heading towards Sigatoka.
The driver of the container truck failed to stop after the accident.
Assistant Spokesperson, Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri said police are now hunting the driver who is believed to be somewhere in the Western Division.
Sokomuri has called on the public to assist the police and has called on the driver to surrender himself at the nearest police station.
