A 60 year old woman was rescued by a helicopter on Waimanu Hill in Lami after she complained of body aches while catching prawns with her two daughters.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said she was rescued by police and villagers where she was airlifted by Heli Fiji helicopter and arrived at CWM Hospital in the last hour.

Naisoro said the woman is now getting medical treatment.

One of the daughters had to walk approximately six hours to get help.
