60 minutes game in Fiji Fact
President Doctor Samshud Dean Sahu Khan said the decision was made in the Fiji FA Council meeting yesterday after motions moved by district officials.
Sahu Khan said by having 90 minutes soccer in the first round and then going back to 60 minutes was unfair on the districts.
He said some teams could have scored more goals in the 90 minutes soccer and it could have put pressure on other districts who will just play 60 minutes of soccer.
According to Sahu Khan sometimes a place in semifinals is decided on goal average and he wanted to be fair on every team.
Meanwhile in the first round of games, Labasa will host Suva at Subrail Park, Ba plays Tavua at Govind Park, Navua meets Nasinu at the TFL National Stadium and Nadroga take on Nadi at Lawaqa Park.
The first round games in the Fiji Fact will be played on 22nd and 23rd of this month.
