Six people were rescued by Police Search and Rescue team last night after their fibre boat developed mechanical problems.
According to Police the six from Somosomo, Gau left for Ovalau at 6 o’ clock yesterday morning when on their way they experienced engine problems.
One of the passengers contacted 919 and managed to contact one of the officers of St John's Ambulance who later raised the alarm with Levuka Police Station.
The six were rescued at 10 pm last night at Nawowo, Ovalau.
