Police have charged six members of the Fiji Van and Carrier Operators Association for organising a meeting in contravention of the Public Emergency Regulation.

The six will appear in the Nasinu Magistrate court today.

Assistant Police Spokesperson Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri confirms that the six were taken in for questioning on Wednesday after police broke up their Annual General Meeting at the Nasinu Muslim Collage.

He said the police officers also took their sound system.
