Six people charged with treason, Inciting Mutiny, Conspiracy to commit Murder, misprision of treason and instigating invasion will appear in the Suva Magistrates court this morning.
The six were charged by police yesterday afternoon and have been remanded in custody.
Those charged in relation to the alleged plot to assassinate the Interim Prime Minister and others are Naitasiri High Chief Ratu Inoke Takiveikata, Former Director of Intelligence, Metuisela Mua and some former CRW officers.
Director CID, SSP Waisea Vakamocea said that the remaining ten are expected to be charged later today as they are still being questioned.
Police Commissioner Commodore Esala Teleni has highlighted that some more suspects are expected to be brought in for questioning soon.
Meanwhile, Businessman Ballu Khan is expected to be questioned by police today after being discharged from hospital.
