A total $56,000 is at stake over the next three weeks in local 7s tournament’s which is the highest ever being offered in local tournaments.

It will start with the Fiji TV provincial 7s this Saturday where 16 teams will fight it out for the $10,000 prize-money at the TFL National Stadium.

FRU official, Aporosa Tuqovu has confirmed that all top provincial teams will be part of the one day tournament in Suva.

Next weekend the Fiji Bitter Nawaka 7s will have a total prize money of $35,000 but for the first time ever the winner will walk away with $21,000.

And on the 3rd and 4th of March the richest 7s in Fiji the Marist 7s tournament will give away $25,000 to the winner.

Both the Nawaka and Marist 7s are looking at giving the Fiji Barbarians team a chance to play in their tournaments.

Meanwhile this Saturday the provincial 7s kicks-off at 8am at the TFL National Stadium.
