The Immigration Department deported 56 people last year with majority of them being the Asian nationals.
Director Immigration, Major Nemani Vuniwaqa said that majority of these Asian nationals were deported last year after they failed to return to their country when they visas expired.
He said the figure does not include those who voluntarily left the country.
