A total of 5517 drivers were booked last month.

Director Traffic SSP Mahesh Mishra confirms this saying that this bookings were done around the country and raised on the number of drivers being charged for drink and drive which in this case was 99.

A total of 2855 drivers were booked for speeding and 251 for careless driving.

Meanwhile there was only one fatal accident recorded last month which happened at Sigatoka where a man lost his life after the van he was travelling in veered off the road and tumbled and the victim was left behind while 6 other passengers including the driver fled from the scene.
