A 53 year old man charged with indecent assault has been remanded in custody by the Labasa Magistrates court.
The court was told that the man was caught red-handed earlier this year, by the mother of the victim who is an 8 year old boy.
The mother reported the matter to police.
Divisional Prosecuting Officer Northern, Villiame Soqari revealed though the victim and the accused are not closely related, they live in the same community.
The man will re appear in court on the 22nd of this month.
