A total of 5300 unemployed people now registered with the National Employment Center with the Central and Eastern Division recording the highest registration.
This has been confirmed by NEC Director Viliame Baleidrokadroka said who said out of their seven centers around the country, the Central and Eastern Division has recorded the highest number of registrations.
Baleidrodroka added that as part of the Look North Policy, those registered under the center will undergo training soon.
Baleidrokadroka said that the training will be in phases, the first phase will be counseling and aptitude test, the second phase will be two weeks of life skills training and the third phase will be 6 months work attachment.
The two weeks life skill training will be outsourced to institutes such as TPAF, FNU, USP and University of Fiji.
