Another Non-Government Organisation, Rotary Pacific Water for Life Foundation which helps the rural communities get access to sustainable clean drinking water supplies received $50,000 from Vodafone.
Executive, Resina Koroi told Fijivillage that sites are thoroughly assessed and people provided with training before water tanks and boreholes are set up. However, she said with many projects in hand, all the workers are volunteers and not always available.
Meanwhile, the other organisations that received grants are Fiji School for the Blind, Gospel School for the Deaf, Lions Club of Labasa and the National Fire Authority.
