506 Viral Infections Recorded
Health PRO Iliesa Tora said the highest was recorded in the west with 320 cases followed by the central and eastern Division with 137 and the north recording 49 cases.
Also following the recent floods, the Ministry recorded 10 cases of leptospirosis with 2 confirmed deaths.
Dengue cases reported are 131 for the Fiji group with the highest recorded in the north with 115 cases.
Health officials are also reiterating their call for people without proper water supply to boil drinking water to prevent getting sick as diarrhea cases continue to rise in the northern and western division.
The latest figures released from the Health Ministry show that there are 399 cases of diarrhea with the highest number reported in the northern division with 159 cases.
The western division recorded 142 cases with the central recording 98.
Most of these cases are coming from people living in rural areas.
