Big boost for the Ba football team ahead of their match against Hekari United in the OFC Champions league as the team received a sponsorship of $50,000 from Digicel Fiji.
Digicel Fiji Head of Marketing, Sharol Singh said Digicel has always promoted sports in the country like rugby, golf and paralympics and football was no exception.
Ba President, Rishi Kumar said they want to equal or better their performance from past when they face Hekari in the away fixture at 5pm this Saturday.
Ba defeated Hekari United in the 2009 season in Papua New Guinea by 2-1 but lost out the home fixture by 3-1.
The Digicel Ba team will leave for Papua New Guinea on Saturday morning.
