Engine problems are the leading cause for drivers keeping their engine on while they are parked at the bus stands.
LTA Manager Standard and compliance Naisa Tuinacewa said the problem was discovered while carrying out an operation yesterday at the Suva Bus stand.
He added 26 buses have been given traffic infringement notices while another 50 buses were given defect notices.
