Five Fijian high school students have been selected in the Under 16 AFL Oceania Squad, to compete in Sydney at the New South Wales State Championship in April.
The Fijian players named in the squad are Jack Wolfgramm, Jiuta Vaitetei, Kinivuwai Nanovo, Alipate Kiti and Eroni Cakacaka.
The Fijian boys will be teaming up with players from New Zealand, Tonga, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu and Nauru.
The Oceania squad was selected during the AFL Oceania Championship last December.
The Fijian players were put through an intensive high-level testing and training camp.
Fiji Power Coach David Rodan Snr was pleased with the announcement and said that these five will do Fiji proud.
These boys also played in an exhibition match against the Under 16 Australian Indigenous side during the championship.
They will be competing at the highest level for their age-group against some of the most talented footballers in Australia.
The NSW State Championship will be held in Blacktown, NSW from April 15th to the 21st.
