Five new players will feature in an All Blacks Sevens development squad for this weekend’s Oceania tournament in Noosa, Australia.
The four new players include 20‑year‑old Jordan Bunce, son of former All Black Frank Bunce.
He joins other potential debutants like former Bay of Plenty Steamer Matt Clutterbuck, Otago outside back Tony Ensor, former Under 20 representative Junior Tofa Vaa, and Counties Manukau midfielder Sam Vaka.
Core players that have been retained include Lote Raikabula, Tomasi Cama, DJ Forbes, Scott Curry, Gillies Kaka, Sam Dickson and Tim Mickelson.
Tietjens will take all 16 players to the Oceania 7s this weekend where he will name the final 12 for the Gold Coast 7s.
Meanwhile, the Vodafone Fiji 7s team is in Pool C of the Gold Coast 7's tournament with Australia, Scotland and Portugal.
Fiji will take on Scotland in their first pool match at 2.02pm next Saturday.
