Five men appeared before Magistrate Ana Rokomokoti today charged with 4 counts of being in possession of illicit drugs in Navua on Wednesday.

The court heard that Shannon Lal was allegedly found in possession of 161.3 grammes of Indian Hemp and parties to the offence includes Sainesh Prasad, Nitesh Singh, Rohit Raj and Mohammed Irfaan all of Samabula and Rewa street.

It is alleged that the five tried to get rid of the drugs when they were being chased by police but were arrested.

No plea was taken and the five have been released on strict bail conditions until they appear again in the Suva High court on March 5th.
