5 gold medals up for grabs today
Men’s shot put final and womens triple jump starts at 5.30pm, women’s discuss final at 7.15pm, Men’s 3000 steeples will start at 7.20pm and Women’s 5,000 meters final at 7.50pm.
Together with this, Men’s 100 and 800 meters heats will start at 6.20pm.
Weightlifting also starts today at 1.30pm with six gold medals at stake.
Fiji’s Manueli Tulo and Maria Liku are top contenders in Weightlifting.
Meanwhile, the Fiji soccer team will take on Papua New Guinea at 4pm today which will decide the winner and runner up Fiji’s pool.
Fiji has already qualified for the semifinals.
New Caledonia maintains the first spot on the medal tally with 66 gold, 51 silver and 23 bronze while Tahiti is second with 29 gold, 20 silver and 17 bronze.
Fiji is third with 13 gold, 16 silver and 23 bronze.
