5 families affected by landslides in Nausori
The officials from the Commissioner Central's office are expected to ascertain damages done to their houses.
Divisional Planning Officer, Samu Saudranu said they received reports of damages to a house in Waila feeder road in Nausori and their officials visited the scene yesterday afternoon. He adds engineers will be at the site today as the house is now unstable.
According to Saudranu, they will also visit Lakena No.
One Hill Nausori where three houses are reported to have shifted from their positions due to a huge landslide.
Fijivillage News received information that affected families are taking shelter at their neighbours= homes.
Also a resident from Korociriciri, Nausori Subhash Chand said his house was damaged by a landslide as his wife and mother escaped injuries who were inside the house when the incident happened.
Saudranu said he is unaware about this incident as they are trying to find out the facts.
