5 charged for double murder
No plea was taken when 23 year old Eparama Nune of Naviti Levu Ra, 18 year old High school student Apenisa Limo, 29 year old Soroveli Qavitaki, a farmer of Wainibuku and 39 year old Ratu Josua Mara a fisherman of Muanikoso and a 17 year old who is a juvenile, appeared before Magistrate Alofa Seruvatu yesterday afternoon.
It is alleged that the five killed the couple in their Valelevu apartment and left their bodies in the bathroom on 19th December.
Only the Juvenile and Eparama Nune were represented while the other three have been instructed to look for a lawyer.
All five have been remanded in custody.
The matter has been referred to the High court where it will be called on 25th of this month.
