Police have charged five villagers of Nailuva, Ra, for the alleged murder of a 26-year-old man of Nasavu.
Assistant police spokesperson Atunaisa Sokomuri said the five men who are charged with one count of murder will appear in the Rakiraki Magistrate Court this morning.
The five villagers are alleged to have assaulted Leone Naivi last Thursday during a fight which broke out between the two villages.
Meanwhile, a police team remains at the two villages and are speaking to the headmen to ensure people do not take the law into their own hands again.
