Lautoka police have arrested and charged five people in relation to the MH supermarket robbery last week.

Regional crime officer western SP Luke Rawalai has confirmed that the five were arrested after an extensive investigation.

They have been charged with one count of robbery with violence and one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

It is alleged that the five came in a stolen vehicle and threatened the cashiers and stole more than $41,000.

Police have also managed to recover some of the stolen cash.
