Police are hunting for five men who robbed the Supreme Fuel Service station in Narere, Nasinu last night.

Spokeswoman Ema Mua had confirmed five masked men armed with cane knives, stones and pinch bars entered the service station and robbed the cashier and bowser attendant of cash, mobile phones, recharge cards and other items.

The value of items stolen is yet to be established.

The robbers got away in a blue Toyota Camry registration DQ554.

The getaway car belonged to an Education Officer and was reported stolen from Quality House at around midday yesterday.

According to our sources, police quickly set up a checkpoint at Narere and managed to stop the robbers. They abandoned the vehicle and got away.
